Learning Journey
Our journey began with the need for access to technology in rural activities. With that in mind, we divided our tasks between development and research into the real needs of the countryside. At first, block-based programming on Code.org was a challenge, but we turned that difficulty into a learning opportunity. We progressed to the point of creating a working prototype, learning programming, design, organization, communication, and how to present an idea with impact. Balancing school, daily routines, and deadlines was also difficult, but we overcame it all with weekly planning, clear goals, and teamwork.
Information Legitimacy Description
To ensure that our solution was credible and reliable, we sourced data from globally recognized organizations such as the FAO and the UN, as well as websites specializing in the agricultural sector. We also demonstrated the app to agricultural technicians and real users, listening to their opinions, critiques, and suggestions. Each piece of information was only used after comparing it across different sources and analyzing its credibility. This process taught us that innovation isn’t just about creating something new, but about creating something true, useful, and capable of making a real impact for those who need it most.

During the development of AGROMIND, the team took into account fundamental ethical principles, such as data privacy, accessibility, and social impact. The app collects only essential information, ensuring transparency in data use and the protection of user information. In addition, it was designed to be inclusive, with a simple and intuitive interface, allowing it to be used by farmers with varying levels of education and access to technology. The team also took care to avoid bias in recommendations, seeking to use diverse and representative data. AGROMIND promotes the conscious use of natural resources, contributing to sustainability and preventing negative impacts on the environment. In this way, the project seeks not only technological innovation but also social and ethical responsibility in the agricultural sector.
