Apoia Jovem
The Apoia Jovem app is an initiative created to support young people at the beginning of their professional lives, especially in their search for a first job. The idea came from interviews with youth who reported difficulties such as insecurity, lack of experience, and little guidance about the job market.
Based on this, the app offers articles, practical tips, and content to help users prepare for interviews and selection processes. It also connects users with partner companies, making it easier to access job opportunities, acting as a bridge between youth and the job market, promoting inclusion, development, and confidence.

During the development of the project, we faced some difficulties in organizing our ideas, defining the application's features, and turning the problem into a clear and useful solution. It was also challenging to gather data and better understand the reality of young people seeking their first job. Even so, we were able to develop a proposal that aims to help and guide this audience.
Information Legitimacy Description
To confirm whether our problem was relevant, we interviewed nine students. Results showed that 89% reported sending résumés without receiving feedback, indicating frequent lack of response from companies. Additionally, 67% avoided applying for jobs because experience was required. Only 56% reported knowing how to create a résumé, though with difficulties, while 44% did not know how to build one. Among the main challenges, lack of experience (33%) and age (22%) stood out, confirming that entering the job market remains difficult and reinforcing the need for solutions to support young applicants.

Ethics were an important part of developing our app. Our goal is to guide users, not manipulate them or keep them unnecessarily engaged. The app recommends opportunities based on users’ interests and location, ensuring relevant suggestions without discriminatory bias. We also prioritized privacy and transparency by ensuring that user data is not sold or shared with third parties. All information collected is used only to connect young people with suitable job opportunities. Overall, our approach focuses on respecting user privacy, promoting equal opportunities, and using technology responsibly to create a positive impact.
