BusApp
The BusApp was developed to facilitate the use of public buses for people with motor and/or visual disabilities (PwD). Based on the user's location, the buses that will pass by the stop closest to the passenger will be displayed, allowing the person to send a signal through the app. This will notify the driver that there will be a PwD at that stop who will need assistance.
In addition, there will be a section where the passenger can report if the driver does not stop at the designated location or does not provide assistance.

Learning Journey
Learning Journey
We faced many challenges, such as programming in blocks using App Inventor with limited coding experience. As a result, we had to deal with the frustration of not knowing everything and learn to be patient while finding ways to overcome and improve our difficulties.
We also learned how to design app screens, develop business plans, and work as a team. Most importantly, we understood how thinking beyond our social bubble broadens our sense of compassion and empathy for others, inspiring us to create new ideas by looking at those who are often overlooked.
Information Legitimacy Description
Our group believes in the legitimacy of the information because we combined research with, most importantly, direct accounts from people with disabilities. We had several conversations with acquaintances who are PwD to understand their real daily challenges, which allowed us to confirm that the researched data matched reality. By having direct contact with the true source of information (people who actually experience these difficulties), we ensured confidence in the legitimacy of both the research and the accounts from PwD.
We also collect data from trusted organizations, including government bodies, to ensure our information is highly reliable.

We developed BusApp in a legitimate and fair way; the application was made entirely by us. We used Artificial Intelligence only to consult codes and translate some information, without violating our moral principles. We live daily with the lack of accessibility in urban buses faced by our friends, and from this we gathered valuable information to improve our app, ensuring integrity in the development of the application and in the research carried out, as well as in the scientific articles on the subject. We believe that the purpose of the project is to overcome challenges, acquiring more and more knowledge so that we can develop improvements for society.
