Learning Journey
Learning Journey
Our team learned how to collaborate effectively, divide tasks, and communicate clearly throughout the development process. One of the main technical challenges was integrating the weather API and extracting data correctly, which we overcame through testing, research, and adjustments in the code. We also faced non-technical challenges, such as organizing ideas and aligning everyone’s contributions, but we solved this by planning and teamwork. Overall, the experience helped us improve problem-solving skills, creativity, and responsibility while developing a useful and meaningful application.
Information Legitimacy Description
Our team ensured the information collected for the project was legitimate by using reliable and well-known sources, such as official weather APIs and trusted websites. We compared data from different sources to check for consistency and accuracy. In addition, we tested the app multiple times to verify if the information displayed matched real conditions. We also reviewed the content carefully to avoid misinformation, especially for weather alerts and emergency contacts, ensuring that users receive correct and trustworthy information.

When developing our application, we carefully considered ethical principles to ensure it is safe, inclusive, and responsible. We prioritized user privacy by not collecting personal or sensitive data without consent, and any information requested is minimal and used only to improve the user experience. We also ensured transparency by clearly explaining the app’s features and purpose, so users understand how it works.
Accessibility was also an important concern; we designed the application to be simple and easy to use for people of different ages and levels of familiarity with technology. In addition, since the app provides weather alerts and emergency contacts, we focused on the accuracy and reliability of the information to avoid misinformation that could put users at risk.
Finally, we included sustainable tips aligned with environmental responsibility, encouraging users to adopt behaviors that positively contribute to the planet and society.
