Polaris Code
Cognito
We developed an educational app for high school students that teaches not only the content but also how to learn efficiently. It acts as a study mentor, guiding students through focus missions, practice, and active recall, while also offering content for ENEM and SAT. The app analyzes user performance, identifies difficulties, and suggests improvements, making learning more strategic, interactive, and focused on real results.

Learning Journey
Learning Journey
We learned that developing an app goes beyond the initial idea: it requires organization, testing, and adaptation. We faced challenges in defining truly useful features and transforming learning concepts into something simple and interactive. We overcame this by researching, testing ideas, and adjusting the project based on what made sense for the users. We also grew as a team, dividing tasks and listening to different opinions to reach a more efficient and viable solution.
Information Legitimacy Description
We determined the legitimacy of the information using reliable sources, such as scientific studies and content from the field of educational psychology. We prioritized materials from recognized researchers with an academic background, in addition to comparing different sources to avoid inconsistent information. We also selected only concepts that had already been tested and applied in education, ensuring the app was based on truly effective methods and not just opinions or trends

When developing Cognito, we prioritized ethics by focusing on user privacy, well-being, and transparency. We collect only essential data, such as name and email, to personalize learning, following principles similar to LGPD.
The app also promotes healthy usage by prioritizing efficient learning rather than screen time.
Additionally, our monetization is ethical and non-invasive, offering personalized recommendations based on user performance.
Our goal is to ensure a safe, responsible, and effective learning environment.
