Confid'ados
Confid´ados
Our project is an app designed to help and support young people who struggle with low self-confidence or self-esteem, or who simply want to talk to someone and feel heard. Our app features a chatbot so users can talk to someone whenever they want. In addition, to encourage young people, daily challenges are available to help them build greater self-confidence. Confid'ados is an app created by young people, for young people, so they feel understood, heard, and know they are not alone.

Learning Journey
Learning Journey
Throughout our journey, we developped many skills. The first is discipline. We demonstrated this by staying on top of our work, applying ourselves to every task, attending meetings, and meeting deadlines while producing high-quality work. We’ve also learned to bring our ideas to life and turn them into something bigger, in this case, our app, Confid’ados. In addition, we explored the world of coding and experimented a lot. Of course, there were mistakes, but we still learned new things. Ultimately, we learned to work as a team. We helped each other, divided up the work, and demonstrated good team spirit.
Information Legitimacy Description
To ensure that the information and data used for the app were accurate and reliable, we relied solely on trustworthy websites (such as those of the Government of Canada or the Government of Quebec, and websites of organizations like Tel-Jeunes, for example) to verify that our information was correct. In addition, we made sure to survey a sufficient number of individuals from the target audience (we conducted a survey to which over 100 young people aged 12 to 17 responded) to ensure that the problem our app aimed to solve actually existed in the community.

We’ve addressed ethical considerations by addressing the issue of artificial intelligence use among young people. On one side of the issue, young people might become even more attached to their devices as a result of interacting with our chatbot. However, on the other side of the issue (the side we’re trying to promote), there’s the possibility of balancing the use of the chat with other features of the app (such as daily challenges that encourage teens to open up to interactions with others around them) so that the user can have a healthy relationship with the app.
