Our project is an app designed to help women feel safer in their daily lives. It will be free to use, and we plan to create partnerships with brands that support women’s institutions and social causes. It will include an emergency button that quickly contacts the police and trusted emergency contact. It will also offer positive and helpful messages, as well as a space for anonymous reports. A built-in map will show nearby women’s shelters and police stations. Users can share their live location with an emergency contact and find institutions that provide psychological, financial, job market, and housing support.

Learning Journey
Learning Journey
While working on this project, we learned more about the chosen topic. Based on this research, we created a Google Form with questions that helped us develop the application. With the answers from this form, we gathered information that helped us understand the needs of an application for our chosen topic.
Regarding the business plan, we learned that launching and maintaining an application is not as easy as it seems, as it involves a whole logistics of sponsorship and hosting fees in app stores.
Information Legitimacy Description
The following link shows the applied form. With the answers from this form, we created a design of what our application would look like in Canva to help us with programming. After the application was ready, we created another form to receive feedback on whether our application was good and functtonal.
