D.A.Z. = Deforestation in the Amazon
Our project is D.A.Z. – Deforestation in the Amazon, a choice-based game we created in Scratch. We want to show that the Amazon is crying out for help and that taking care of the forest and the rivers (SDGs 14 and 15) is everyone's duty. We learned about the dangers of deforestation and made this game to teach people how to protect nature, helping to make the world a better place for all living beings!

Learning Journey
Learning Journey
We pushed ourselves to succeed. After a larger group split up, we learned to handle frustration and strengthened our teamwork and social skills. We learned about deforestation and used Scratch to program a choice-based game. With our mentor's help and the use of AI, we created code and turned our drawings into animations. We used tutorials and open-source examples to build the project. We didn't give up because we know that technology is a powerful tool to protect the environment.
Ethics
We do not collect personal data, names, or player locations, ensuring total privacy. The images are friendly and educational for children, without exposing anyone to risks or inappropriate content. We used Scratch, which is a safe educational platform. The greatest positive impact is our message: the game teaches how to save the Amazon, using technology as a tool for environmental awareness for a cleaner future.
