TECHGIRLS AGRESTE
DivinaFemme
The lack of sexual education and social taboos leave young women vulnerable to misinformation about their intimate health. To solve this, we developed an interactive mobile app focused on female self-awareness. Aligned with SDGs 3 and 4, the platform provides reliable information on the body, contraception, and STIs, alongside an anonymous space for questions. Our solution breaks the cycle of relying on unsafe sources, empowering users through preventive education and promoting autonomy and overall well-being in an accessible and welcoming way.

Learning Journey
Learning Journey
Our team learned to transform ideas into real solutions. The biggest technical challenge was our lack of experience with MIT App Inventor; we overcame complex block logic and platform limitations through tutorials and persistence. Non-technically, addressing sensitive topics required extra care in curating information for young audiences. We organized content clearly and inclusively, overcoming design barriers to ensure usability. Through time management and task division, we learned that collaborative work allows us to overcome inexperience, resulting in an app that is both welcoming and technically functional.
Information Legitimacy Description
To ensure the legitimacy of the information, our team adopted a rigorous verification process. We prioritized official sources, such as government health agencies and recognized educational organizations, avoiding unverified blogs or websites. Beyond literature research, we validated our content through interviews with experts in health and education, ensuring that guidance on sensitive topics was accurate. We also cross-referenced data from multiple reliable sources to confirm statistics. This careful approach ensured that our app provides a safe, ethical, and evidence-based environment for our users, building trust and maintaining high information standards.

DivinaFemme bases its ethics on a full commitment to the dignity of girls and women. Our solution goes beyond intimate health, embracing physical safety and sexual education as fundamental rights. For us, ethics means ensuring that users have a safe, immediate channel to deal with harassment, connecting them efficiently to protection networks and police stations.
We promote transparency and truth, combating misinformation about the female body and the first menstruation with validated content. Furthermore, our actions are guided by social justice, as we facilitate access to basic hygiene items (combating period poverty) and safety in vulnerable regions. Above all, we respect the privacy and autonomy of adolescents, ensuring the app is a supportive environment, free from judgment, where the protection of physical and emotional integrity is the supreme value.
