ECOAR
Teenagers face intense emotional changes, but fewer than ⅓ receive adequate support, and what happens between therapy sessions remains invisible to the psychologist. Ecoar is an app that fills this gap. Through daily check-ins with reflective questions, a journal in text or audio, and sleep and routine tracking, the teenager develops real self-awareness. A psychoeducation chatbot offers continuous support, and smart alerts notify trusted contacts during critical moments. Designed for teenagers aged 12 to 18 already in therapeutic care, the app doesn’t replace the psychologist, it enhances every session with concrete data from the patient's daily emotional life.

Learning Journey
Learning Journey
Our journey began at TechSchool, where we met and discovered Technovation Girls. We learned how to use MIT App Inventor, as well as Design Thinking, prototyping, and pitching, tools that were essential for the development of Ecoar.
The biggest challenge was creating a mental health solution without violating user ethics. To achieve this, we spoke with psychologists, conducted a survey to understand the real interest of young people in using the app, and relied on mentors who provided feedback and
improvements to our ideas.
Finally, we used Figma and App Inventor to build the prototype.
Information Legitimacy Description
To ensure the legitimacy of the information, our team adopted a strategy of data screening and cross-referencing. We based our foundation on academic articles and established market research, ensuring a solid scientific basis.
To prevent bias, we consulted multiple sources and validated every finding through interviews with mental health specialists. This external validation process, combined with a rigorous review of current legislation, ensured that the information collected was authentic, secure, and technically accurate for the development of the app.

To ensure the app was developed ethically and securely, our team grounded the project in two primary pillars:
1. Legal and Professional Compliance
We conducted rigorous research into the ethical guidelines of the Federal Council of Psychology (CFP) and Brazilian legislation, including the LGPD (General Data Protection Law). The goal was to ensure that all features fully align with standards regarding professional confidentiality and the protection of sensitive data.
2. Validation with Experts and Users
We directly consulted psychologists, patients, and educational institutions to gather feedback and insights. This collaborative approach was essential to ensuring the digital environment is welcoming, free of negative triggers, and that users feel fully secure and supported while using the platform.
