Elas em campo

Elas em Campo was born from our reality: girls who faced prejudice, lack of opportunities, and low visibility in football. We created a solution that connects players, enables training groups, promotes girls’ football programs, and shares inspiring content. More than an app, we are a network of support, empowerment, and representation. Our goal is to ensure girls have the same paths, respect, and opportunities as boys. Aligned with SDGs 5, 10, 3, and 4, the project expands access to sport, promotes equality, and strengthens dreams—showing that girls belong in football.

Learning Journey

Learning Journey

We learned that creating an impactful solution requires truly listening to the audience we want to help. We gained a better understanding of the difficulties many girls face in getting into soccer, such as prejudice, lack of access, and insecurity. One of the biggest challenges was transforming these pain points into a simple, useful, and welcoming idea. We also had difficulty organizing ideas and defining the app's main functions, but we overcame this by working as a team, dividing tasks, and focusing on what would truly make a difference for the users.

Information Legitimacy Description

Our team verified the information using reliable sources such as news articles, research studies, sports websites, and data about female participation in soccer. We also looked for real stories from girls who try to play soccer but face difficulties such as prejudice, lack of support, few opportunities, and insecurity. In addition, the creators of the app have personally experienced these difficulties, which helped us better understand the reality faced by many girls. We compared different sources to confirm that the information was consistent and up to date, ensuring that our solution was based on real needs.

Ethics

Ethics is at the core of Elas em Campo. We designed the app to break systemic barriers that exclude girls from football, creating an inclusive, accessible, and empowering environment. We prioritize diversity by ensuring a simple, barrier-free experience for users from different social realities. Our platform actively challenges bias and discrimination by promoting female protagonism, respect, and equal opportunities. We are committed to fostering a positive and supportive community, where interactions are safe, respectful, and free from exclusion. Additionally, we encourage the conscious use of technology through meaningful, educational, and inspiring content. Our commitment goes beyond innovation—we aim to reshape football into a fairer, more inclusive space. Elas em Campo is not just an app; it is an ethical movement that amplifies girls’ voices, increases visibility, and creates real opportunities for them to claim their place in the game.
