Femsport

An app designed to help women and girls balance their menstrual cycles with their sports activities, so they can navigate this natural phase of life without it getting in the way. We believe an app that addresses this issue is important because we play sports and have experienced related challenges. The app will offer tips on how to stay organized, advice on what to do during your period, a chatbot for quick questions, and a section for notes.

Learning Journey

Learning Journey

Our group came together based on an idea from participant Gabriella, who had already taken part in previous editions of Technovation Girls. She invited Erika and Maria Eduarda
When we went looking for a mentor, we went to EMNOVA, where we were introduced to Alice, who joined the team.
During the project, we had some issues with meeting schedules due to the judo practices of participants, as well as their school obligations. So we took away the main lesson of not giving up and learning to balance our obligations with the work we’re willing to do.

Information Legitimacy Description

Our team came up with the idea for the app as we talked and got to know each other better, realizing that we all played some kind of sport. Combining the idea of sports, we began discussing what bothered us the most and came to the conclusion that what bothered us most was the menstrual cycle and issues related to it. After evaluating this, we decided to bring the two ideas together, and thus the app was born: Fem Sport, developed by girls who live with this reality.
