Food For All

Food for All is an app created after observing food insecurity in our community. The problem identified was the lack of access to safe and healthy food for many families. Our solution is a donation platform where vulnerable people can choose available food and pick it up at nearby grocery stores, making the process more dignified and organized. We chose this approach to reduce hunger while promoting accessibility and efficiency. The app also connects donating companies to those in need. Our goal is to expand across Brazil and contribute to a fairer, hunger-free society. SDGs: 2, 3 e 12.

Learning Journey

Learning Journey

During our journey, we understood that being a creator goes far beyond developing an app: it involves deeply understanding people’s needs. Throughout the process, we faced technical challenges, such as block-based programming, which initially seemed complex but became more accessible through practice and collaboration. We also overcame non-technical difficulties, such as team organization and decision-making. This experience allowed us to recognize our role in building a more just, humane, and equal society, in line with the principles advocated by the United Nations. Thus, we realized that social transformation begins with small everyday actions.

Information Legitimacy Description

Our team evaluated the reliability of information by verifying trusted sources, such as official data from the United Nations and public institutions. We also compared different sources to identify possible discrepancies and ensure greater accuracy. In addition, we analyzed the timeliness of the information and the credibility of the authors or responsible organizations. We always prioritized up-to-date, evidence-based content. This critical process was essential to ensure that our project was built on truthful, relevant data aligned with the reality of the community served.

Ethics

Food for All was developed with a strong ethical focus on dignity, fairness, and inclusion. We ensured that users in vulnerable situations have the autonomy to choose their food, avoiding exposure or embarrassment. The platform promotes equal access to safe and healthy meals, reducing social inequalities. We also value transparency by clearly connecting donors, local markets, and users, ensuring trust in the process. Data privacy is respected, protecting users’ personal information. Additionally, the app encourages responsible consumption by reducing food waste, aligning with SDGs 2, 3, and 12. Our goal is to create a respectful, inclusive, and sustainable solution to fight hunger.
