BraveGirls Caruaru
Givee
The app connects people interested in helping with volunteer and donation opportunities. Many want to contribute to social causes but don't know where to start or where the institutions that need support are located. This lack of information hinders these actions. The app brings together projects and institutions in one place, allowing users to search and choose areas of interest, such as food donations, clothing donations, animal care, and environmental support. Thus, the platform facilitates access to information and encourages more people to practice solidarity.

Learning Journey
Learning Journey
During the development of Givee, we learned much more than just the technical aspects. Initially, we struggled to organize our ideas and transform the project into something clear and functional. We also faced challenges in creating the prototype and finding reliable information, but we overcame these through research, testing, and learning through practice. Furthermore, we had to improve our communication and better divide tasks. In the end, we realized that making mistakes was part of the process and that teamwork was essential for our progress.
Information Legitimacy Description
During the development of Givee, we validated the information collected through searches on Google and Google Maps, where we found data on NGOs, such as location, description, and basic information. To ensure reliability, we analyzed different results and prioritized sources with consistent information. We also used these tools to identify real NGOs in our city, making the project more connected to the local reality. Furthermore, we considered user feedback to validate the relevance of the proposed solution. This process contributed to building a safer, more practical, and responsible solution.

During the app's development, the team prioritized protecting user data, avoiding the excessive collection of information. Care was also taken in validating the institutions to reduce the risk of fraud and false content. Neutrality was maintained in the display of institutions and projects, without favoring causes without clear criteria. Accessibility was also considered, allowing use by people with varying levels of technological familiarity. Finally, the app encourages solidarity in a responsible way, without pressuring the user and respecting their autonomy in decision-making.
