The objective of the project is to combat gender inequality and violence against women in a practical and accessible way, through an application that provides secure reporting, emotional support, and reliable information.
The proposal goes beyond reporting: it aims to empower women by ensuring quick access to help, awareness of their rights, and a support network in moments of vulnerability. By combining technology with social impact, the project encourages breaking the silence, strengthens the search for help, and contributes to a more just, safe, and equal society.
In essence, the application ensures that no woman has to face violence alone.

During the meetings, socio-emotional skills (soft skills) were developed, such as teamwork, empathy, patience, determination, and communication. In terms of technical skills (hard skills), we gained experience in design creation using Canva, as well as formal writing, block-based programming, and planning the app’s layout and interface.
Initially, we faced some challenges, such as internal group communication, the app ideation process, and understanding how block-based programming commands work. However, over the weeks, there was significant improvement in the team’s performance. Even with programming difficulties, we were able to overcome them successfully, showing progress and collaboration.
Finally, as support resources for the project development, we used tutorial videos on YouTube to assist with programming in MIT App Inventor, Google Docs to organize information, research on visual references from other apps on Google, and artificial intelligence tools like ChatGPT for testing, corrections, and feedback in solving programming errors.
Ethics
We ensured the app’s safety by avoiding unnecessary data collection, prioritizing anonymity and privacy in reports. The environment was designed to promote respect and support among users, reducing misuse risks. We used MIT App Inventor and conducted tests to fix issues.
Regarding the environment, we developed a lightweight app with low data and energy consumption, and prioritized digital tools, reducing paper use.
