MindClass

MindClass is an app that helps students organize homework, exams, and school commitments while promoting mental health care. Aligned with SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), it offers two main sections: one for personal organization, with a calendar and reminders, and another for mental health improvement, with tips to reduce stress and anxiety. It also includes a space for school announcements, to improve communication between school administration, teachers and students. Its goal is to make students’ routines more balanced, productive, and healthy.

Learning Journey

Learning Journey

During the project’s development, the team improved skills in organizing ideas, critical thinking, and building solutions with social impact. They also deepened their understanding of mental health in schools and the role of technology as a support tool for students.
One major challenge was the technical development of the app. Since the app was designed with advanced features, the team faced obstacles implementing all ideas, requiring constant adjustments between ambition and viability. Additionally, organizing initial ideas and structuring the project clearly demanded revisions, planning, and strategic decisions, contributing to its improvement.

Information Legitimacy Description

The team based the project on a questionnaire conducted with the app’s target audience in public schools in the city, focusing especially on academic overload and its impact on students’ mental health. Additionally, research was carried out using reliable sources on education and well-being, including data fromarticles, and national media outlets.

Ethics

MindClass was designed to support mental health without replacing professional help, offering general guidance rather than clinical advice. We also focused on data protection, ensuring that any personal information is minimized, securely stored, and not shared without consent.
In developing MindClass, we prioritized ethical values by creating an accessible, respectful, and inclusive app for all students. We aimed to support diverse realities, avoiding judgment and encouraging emotional well-being in a responsible way, guided by respect, empathy, and appreciation for each user.
Accessibility and inclusivity were also considered, making the app simple and usable for students from different backgrounds. Overall, our goal is to provide a safe, supportive tool that promotes healthy habits.
