Girls Impact
Not hungry
Not Hungry is a project that seeks to reduce hunger and food insecurity in Aracaju by connecting donors with people in vulnerable situations and those living on the streets. Based on ethical principles such as dignity, equity, transparency, and privacy (LGPD), it ensures safe and respectful distribution without stigmatization. The proposal reuses food fit for consumption from partner restaurants, turning it into healthy meals. Companies contribute with a maintenance fee and gain visibility on the platform. Aligned with SDG 2, the project strengthens a supportive and sustainable network, fighting waste and promoting social responsibility.

Initiatives like the Not Hungry app highlight a contemporary ethical dilemma: while food is wasted, millions still face hunger. Addressing this reality requires more than one-off actions; it demands social responsibility, empathy, and collective commitment. The donation of food fit for consumption, ensured by Law No. 14,016/2020, strengthens this practice by providing legal security to donors, as long as sanitary standards are respected. From an ethical perspective, the project is grounded in promoting human dignity, the right to food, and social justice. Its principles include guaranteeing food quality and hygiene, transparency in donations, respect for privacy under the LGPD, and equal access for beneficiaries. By connecting people, businesses, and communities, the initiative builds a supportive and sustainable network, committed to reducing hunger in Aracaju and valuing life.
