Oportuniza is an app designed for the city of Florestal and nearby towns, with the goal of bringing job opportunities together in one place. It was created mainly to help people with low levels of schooling have easier access to job openings. Companies will be able to post their vacancies, and users will be able to view them and apply directly through the app. With simple language and an easy-to-use design, Oportuniza seeks to expand access to information, promote inclusion in the job market, and strengthen the local and regional economy.

Learning Journey
Learning Journey
Our team learned that creating an app is not just about having a good idea, but also about researching the reality of the community, listening to people’s needs, and working together in an organized way. During the development process, we faced challenges such as deciding which features would truly be useful, creating simple language for people with low levels of schooling, and organizing our ideas clearly. We overcame these difficulties through dialogue, research, task division, and constant review of the project. In this way, we understood that technology can be an important tool to promote social inclusion and create opportunities.
Information Legitimacy Description
Our team verified the legitimacy of the information through direct data collection from the community. We created a Google Forms survey and shared it in several WhatsApp groups in Florestal and nearby cities. In the survey, we asked people about their main concerns when looking for a job and the difficulties they face in this process. This allowed us to gather real opinions and needs from the population. As a result, the information used in our project came from the target audience itself, helping us design an app that is more useful, accessible, and relevant.

When developing the Oportuniza app, our team considered ethics as a fundamental part of the project. First of all, we aimed to create an accessible tool, using simple and clear language so that people with low levels of schooling could also use it independently. We were also concerned about user privacy, understanding that personal data must be protected and used responsibly. In addition, we valued transparency by seeking to ensure that the job openings shared were real and presented with accurate information, in order to avoid misunderstandings and false expectations. Another ethical concern was listening to the community through research to understand its real needs. Therefore, Oportuniza was developed with a focus on inclusion, respect, responsibility, and the commitment to creating opportunities in a fair and safe way.
