BSG Project
PATINHAS UNIDAS FERREIRENSE
The Patinhas Unidas Ferreirense project was created for the city of Porto Ferreira with the goal of helping abandoned animals find homes. Initially, the app was developed to register animals from the NGO Bichos Sem Grana, making it easier to promote them for adoption. With a simple interface, it connects people interested in adopting with rescued dogs and cats. In the future, the project will include updates that allow anyone to register animals, expanding the support network among NGOs and the community.

Learning Journey
Learning Journey
Our team ensured the information was legitimate by working directly with the NGO Bichos Sem Grana, which provided accurate and updated data about the animals. We cross-checked details such as health status, age, and availability before adding them to the app. We also validated information through photos and direct communication with rescuers. Additionally, we prioritized reliable sources and kept the data updated to maintain trust and accuracy on the platform. Throughout the project, we also learned teamwork, improved our coding skills, and optimized our workflow by organizing tasks and using simple, efficient solutions.

We considered ethics throughout the development of our app by prioritizing animal welfare, transparency, and user responsibility. We ensured that all information about the animals was accurate and regularly updated to avoid misleading potential adopters. We worked in partnership with the NGO Bichos Sem Grana to ensure that the animals were treated with care and that adoptions were responsible. We also avoided sharing sensitive personal data, protecting the privacy of users and rescuers.
