Prato solidário
The Food and Innovation app aims to combat food insecurity in Florianópolis and Palhoça, aligning with SDGs 2 and 3. The project combines a digital platform with a physical food distribution system in partnership with NGOs to reach underserved areas where hunger persists, while also featuring a gamification system for its users.
Globally, hunger affects 673 million people, including 6.48 million in Brazil. To validate the proposal, a survey was conducted to analyze public perception of homelessness and food scarcity, confirming the urgent need to intervene in vulnerable areas through technology and social logistics.

Our team acquired extensive expertise in editing and communication, including business planning, interviewing, and processing feedback. This experience was instrumental to both our personal and collective growth.
Information Legitimacy Description
Our information was gathered through extensive research, IBGE data, and an analysis of local regional challenges. To engage with our audience and understand the logistics, we conducted surveys and interviews with organizations that streamline these processes. Notably, we interviewed the Santa Catarina Food Bank (BASC), which was essential in helping us understand the workflows and improve our app. We also conducted a validation survey with our target audience.

Regarding the application's accessibility standards, we have conducted a thorough analysis and identified critical areas for improvement, specifically concerning font scalability and legibility. Our primary focus is to accommodate users with myopia or other significant visual impairments. By optimizing these elements, we aim to mitigate the cognitive load and physical strain that these specific users often face, ensuring a seamless and inclusive reading experience across all interfaces of the platform.
