The Proteger+ is an app designed to help older adults facing digital scams, technological difficulties, and challenges in daily health and well-being. It brings together features such as suspicious link detection, medication and appointment reminders, health tips, an emergency button, and a support chat. It can also be used by caregivers and professionals, making monitoring easier. With simple and accessible language, Proteger+ promotes safety, autonomy, and quality of life, reducing isolation and supporting everyday care. The platform is intuitive, user friendly, and tailored to seniors, ensuring clear guidance, trust, and continuous assistance in different situations every day.

Learning Journey
Our team learned a lot during the development of Proteger+, especially in programming, interface design, and teamwork. At first, we struggled to organize ideas and decide whether to continue the project. However, after research and considering the Brazilian context, we chose to improve our proposal. We also faced technical challenges, such as prototype errors and difficulties with digital tools, but overcame them through collaboration and support from mentors and teachers.
Information Legitimacy Description
To ensure the app’s information was reliable, we consulted trustworthy sources, such as government health websites, scientific articles, and specialized content. We prioritized information from credible institutions and avoided unverified data. In addition, we considered users’ feedback to validate our ideas. The team established criteria to validate the legitimacy of the information collected, prioritizing institutional sources like government agencies, health organizations, and universities. Information from sources was compared to verify consistency, and publication dates and authorship were analyzed to ensure credibility. Digital tools and artificial intelligence were used only as support, always with human verification, ensuring the reliability of information.

Data collection only occurs with user permission. To ensure privacy, we use data protection measures, restricted access, and do not share information with third parties. The app’s guidance is based on reliable sources and reviewed to ensure accuracy. In addition, we strive to keep all content up to date, providing safe and useful information. Our goal is to promote care with responsibility, transparency, and respect for all users.
