Safe Girl
Safe Girl is an app focused on women's safety, especially in vulnerable situations in public spaces. The target audience is women of different ages who seek protection and autonomy in their daily lives. The project arose in response to the increase in gender-based violence and the constant feeling of insecurity. The platform triggers alerts and calls for help, in addition to offering support and a network that connects users to trusted contacts and support services. The app acts preventively, promoting autonomy, support, and awareness, contributing to the construction of a safer and more egalitarian society.

Learning Journey
Throughout the development of our APP with Technovation, we learned much more than we expected. We developed knowledge in programming logic, business plan structuring, and video production, in addition to skills such as teamwork, organization, communication, and decision-making. In the process, we faced difficulties, mainly in programming, defining features, and organizing ideas. We were able to overcome these challenges through participation in workshops, asking for guidance when necessary, conducting research, and mutual collaboration among the girls on the team. This allowed our idea to evolve and become clearer and more structured.
Information Legitimacy Description
To ensure the reliability of the information in our project, we sought reliable sources such as scientific publications, official reports, and content from national public safety agencies. We also had conversations with women who had experienced situations related to the topic, which helped us better understand the reality. We took care not to use any information without first verifying its accuracy, comparing different sources and analyzing their reliability. This process ensured that our application was based on consistent data and aligned with the real needs of the public, making the solution more relevant and responsible.

During the development of Safe Girl, we took several precautions to ensure that the technology is safe, ethical, and responsible. The APP was designed to respect the privacy of users, collecting only essential data, with clear consent, in accordance with the General Data Protection Law (LGPD).
The system was also designed to avoid causing harm, preventing excessive false alarms and unnecessary panic situations. We also considered the consequences of using the technology, ensuring that the application functions as a support tool, and not as a substitute for official protection networks, such as emergency services. Our commitment is to use technology ethically, promoting care, protection, and positive social impact.
