SAFE WOMAN
Technovation is an initiative that encourages girls to develop technological solutions to real-world problems. During the workshop at UNIT, we learned about programming, teamwork, and app development.
Our project focused on women's safety and health, addressing issues such as violence prevention, well-being, and access to information. The app aims to support women in their daily lives by offering protection, guidance, and helpful resources.
In addition, the project seeks to raise awareness about the importance of ensuring rights, respect, and safety for all women. This experience also helped develop our critical thinking, creativity, and social responsibility.

Learning Journey
Our journey at Technovation was focused on women's safety. We created the "Women's Safety" app to help victims of assault and abuse, offering support in risky situations. During the project, we conducted research and gained a better understanding of the seriousness of this problem in society. Initially, we faced difficulties in group communication, but we overcame them through dialogue, respect, and organization. During development, we learned about technology and teamwork. This experience also improved our communication at school and with colleagues. Furthermore, we gained more awareness of the issue and want to improve the app to help more people.
Information Legitimacy Description
Our team ensured the information collected was legitimate by searching reliable sources, such as official websites, news reports, and research on women's safety. We avoided using unverified information from social media. Whenever we found important data, we compared it with other sources to confirm its accuracy. We also discussed it as a group to analyze whether the information made sense and was relevant to the project. This care helped avoid errors and increased the adoption rate of our app. Thus, we were able to develop a more reliable, secure, and useful solution to help women in at-risk situations.
