[MinasCoders] Saúde de Florestal em Nossas Mãos
Saúde de Florestal em Nossas Mãos
Our project is the Saúde de Florestal em Nossas Mãos app, created to make it easier for the community to access public health information and services in the municipality. Through the app, residents will be able to check available vaccines, medications from the public pharmacy, health campaigns, medical specialties, and guidance about healthcare services. The idea came from the difficulty many people still face in finding this information quickly and in an organized way. With support from the City Hall of Florestal and the Health Department, the app aims to promote greater access, agility, inclusion, and care for the community.

Learning Journey
Learning Journey
Our team learned that creating a solution for a real problem requires research, listening, and teamwork. Throughout the project, we gained a better understanding of the community’s needs and realized the importance of organizing information in a clear and accessible way. We also faced challenges, such as turning our ideas into possible app features and dividing tasks fairly. We overcame these difficulties through dialogue, planning, support from our mentor, and strong collaboration. This process taught us not only about technology, but also about responsibility, empathy, and commitment to creating a useful solution for the community.
Information Legitimacy Description
Our team checked the legitimacy of the information by using official and reliable sources, such as the City Hall of Florestal, the Municipal Health Department, the Ministry of Health, and the UN. We also compared information from different sources to confirm that it was consistent. We prioritized public, current data directly related to local health services. In addition, we discussed each piece of information as a team before including it in the project. This helped us ensure clarity, accuracy, and responsibility, and build a proposal based on real and useful information for the community.

When developing our app, we considered ethics as an essential part of the project. First, we focused on the responsibility of sharing only reliable, up-to-date, and public-interest information, avoiding incorrect content that could harm the community. We also reflected on users’ privacy, understanding that any personal data must be protected and used carefully, transparently, and only when necessary. In addition, we aimed to create an accessible app, using simple and clear language so that more people can understand and use the information without exclusion. Another important point was respect for the community, developing a solution focused on collective well-being rather than profit. In this way, we understand that acting ethically means creating a useful, safe, inclusive technology committed to caring for people.
