Cat Student Quiz is an educational app designed to help children and teenagers learn in a fun and engaging way. The app features a virtual character, ProfCat, a charismatic teacher who guides students, gives tips, and makes learning more enjoyable. Users can play quizzes, access a virtual library, track their progress, and compete with classmates. The app encourages autonomy by promoting research instead of simply providing answers. As a reward system, students earn coins to customize their virtual cat. Aligned with Quality Education goals, the app makes learning accessible, interactive, and motivating.

Throughout this project, our team learned both technical and collaborative skills. We improved our understanding of app structure, user experience, and how to design features that are both functional and engaging for students. We also learned how to transform an idea into a real product, organizing tasks and working as a team.
One of our main challenges was defining how the app would teach without simply giving answers. We overcame this by focusing on guidance, feedback, and gamification elements, such as quizzes, hints, and rewards. Another challenge was aligning ideas within the team, which we solved through constant communication and dividing responsibilities clearly.
To build our project, we used references from educational apps, online tutorials, and design inspirations. We also explored examples of gamified learning platforms and basic development concepts to guide our decisions.
Overall, this journey helped us develop problem-solving skills, creativity, and teamwork, while understanding how technology can be used to make learning more accessible and engaging.
Ethics
Safety and Sustainability:
We designed our app to be safe, inclusive, and respectful for all users, especially children and teenagers. We avoided inappropriate content and ensured that interactions between users are positive and moderated. Personal data is minimized, and no sensitive information is required to use the app, protecting user privacy.
To promote a healthy experience, the app encourages learning without pressure, using supportive feedback instead of negative reinforcement. We also designed features that avoid excessive screen time, focusing on short and meaningful interactions.
Regarding sustainability, the app is fully digital, reducing the need for paper and physical materials. We also aimed for a simple and efficient design, which helps reduce energy consumption on devices.
Overall, our goal was to create an app that is safe for users, socially responsible, and mindful of its environmental impact.
