Techthemis
TechThemis
TechThemis is an app created to make access to legal information easier, especially for women in vulnerable situations. Many people do not understand legal terms or do not know where to look for help. The app translates complex legal terms into simple language and provides basic guidance about rights. It also includes a map with support locations such as women’s police stations, public defenders’ offices, and support organizations. Our goal is to use technology to help women understand their rights and find support when they need it.

Learning Journey
Learning Journey
During the development of our project, our team learned about accessibility, programming, and teamwork. We faced both technical and non-technical challenges, such as time management. To overcome them, we conducted research, tested different tools, and divided tasks according to each member’s skills. We also sought feedback throughout the progress of our project. As a result, we were able to improve our project and gain a better understanding of the importance of our chosen topic and how technology can help people in their daily lives.
Information Legitimacy Description
During the development of the project, we validated information with a focus on legislation and women’s safety in order to present it in a simple way. We used laws, official data, and content from reliable organizations, ensuring that the information was accurate and up to date. We also analyzed the app’s usability by researching best practices for accessible and user-friendly design. In addition, we considered the importance of conveying safety and clarity to users. This process helped us build a responsible, trustworthy project aligned with real needs.

During the development of our app, we considered ethics as an essential principle, especially because it focuses on women’s safety. We were careful when selecting and presenting information, ensuring it was accurate, respectful, and did not create fear or misinformation. We also considered user privacy, avoiding unnecessary collection of sensitive data and prioritizing the protection of information. In addition, we aimed to create an inclusive and accessible environment, using clear and welcoming language. We reflected on the real-life impact of our app, ensuring it would be a supportive tool rather than a risk. In this way, our project was developed with responsibility, empathy, and respect for users.
