Training app for kids with cochlear Implants
IHear is an app for children with hearing loss who have undergone cochlear implantation surgery, designed to develop speech understanding and speaking skills; eliminate the gap in knowledge of the world around us; and reduce costs for training materials and specialist services. Our solution is a universal multifunctional application that includes: a glossary; selection of words on topics in the form of pictures, animations and videos with sounds and written texts; examples of using words in life situations; word tests for understanding and speaking; AI image recognition; speech gymnastics; sound simulator; neuro-exercises, and possibility to contact the specialists.

Learning Journey
Before starting this project, we knew a little about the Scratch and made simple algorithms and animations with sprites in it. Aisha could draw animated drawings and even took first place in a school competition on Microsoft Paint drawings. And Eva had experience in public speaking at school conferences and children's radio.
During the project we went path from the created the first screen in MIT app inventor to the creation of a completed mobile application. We learned to use many different interface elements and actions. We looked through all the lessons on Technovation site, used MIT app inventor library section and free educational videos from YouTube. With the help of our moms, we could conduct surveys and interviews with 18 users.
The project required a lot of time and we had to combine it with school studies and training (Eva engages in tennis, and Aisha in swimming and robotics). At the beginning there were 4 of us, and by the end only the 2 most persistent ones remained: Eva and Aisha. What helped us not give up were discipline, desire to help our friend Aileen, and faith in our project and in our dream of visiting Silicon Valley.
