Pacifier
Pacifier is a mobile app designed to support new mothers during the postpartum period by helping them track their baby’s routines and access both emotional and medical guidance. In response to the widespread lack of accessible postpartum care, the app offers a sleep and feeding tracker, a chat page with certified midwives, and a curated library of maternal health resources. By reducing the mental load and improving access to professional support, Pacifier aims to combat postpartum depression and empower mothers with the tools they need to care for themselves as they care for their babies.

Learning Journey
Learning Journey
Building Pacifier was an enriching experience that taught us both technical and collaborative skills. We started by using a drag-and-drop login page template from Thunkable, which helped us get started quickly. From there, we built the rest of the app from scratch, working on the UI design, database integration using Firebase and Google Sheets, and refining the user experience.
We explored AI in multiple ways: initially to generate a prototype of our app, then to polish our business plan and written content, and finally as a tool to debug code and overcome technical challenges. Through this, we discovered the versatility of AI—not just for development, but also for refining communication and problem-solving.
When faced with obstacles, we had a clear team strategy: first, discuss the issue internally to see if anyone had a solution. If not, we researched online, asked ChatGPT, and finally consulted our mentors. The key was that we never just solved a problem—we made sure to understand it and learn from it.
